Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Minister Harin Fernando ceremoniously cutting the ribbon flanked by Omobio CEO Eranga Weeraratne
Omobio (Pvt.) Limited, a leading IT solutions provider to the telecom industry, recently celebrated the opening of its new head office located at No.1, St. Alban’s Place, Colombo 4.
The chief guest at the opening ceremony was Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Minister Harin Fernando and Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara participated as a guest of honour.
Also many industry experts from local telecom operators and IT companies were gathered for this event.

At the ministry, what Eranga envisions is what we also see for the long-term when it comes to building the digital infrastructure of Sri Lanka.”
Speaking at the event, Weeraratne stated, “From humble beginnings in 2011, Omobio has made rapid progress over the course of the past five years mainly due to two reasons. Firstly, it’s because we have a passionate team of highly-skilled professionals and our valued partners.
Secondly, it’s because we have a wonderful customers who have always encouraged us not only by awarding us projects in Sri Lanka but also by recommending and proposing our solutions to their foreign contacts who in turn have become our customers.”
During his speech, Weeraratne also mentioned the accolade won by his partner Sumith Gamage, who bagged the ‘Best Emerging Entrepreneur’ award presented by the Computer Science and Engineering Society of University of Moratuwa.
Omobio currently employs over 70 team members and its customers can be found across the globe in regions such as South Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
