Oppo, the leading global technology brand has created a benchmark in their smartphones sales globally and the Oppo R11 and Oppo A57 have become respectively the third and fourth highest selling smartphones globally, said a survey conducted in July, 2017 by Counterpoint Research group.
Among these two highest ranked smartphones, the Oppo A57 is available in
Sri Lanka.
“Oppo has been one of the fastest growing brands globally thanks to the popularity of models including the mid-tier Oppo A57 and the flagship Oppo R11,” highlighted Counterpoint Senior Analyst Pavel Naiya, in the report.
Counterpoint is a global research firm specializing in technology products in the TMT industry. It services major technology firms and financial firms with a mix of monthly reports, customized projects and detailed analysis of the mobile and technology markets. They have all been in business situations where key strategic and operational decisions have to be made based on the best available information.
“The growth of Chinese brands is an important trend which no player in the mobile ecosystem can ignore. Chinese brands are growing swiftly thanks not only to smartphone design, manufacturing capability, and rich feature sets but also by out-smarting and out-spending rivals in sales channels, go-to-market, and marketing promotion strategies,” added Counterpoint Associate Director
Tarun Pathak.
The Oppo A57 is a selfie focused smartphone in the mid-range price bracket with a 16MP front camera with f 2.0 aperture and a 13MP primary camera as well. It is known for fantastic image quality —with images having good details and rich colours in daylight with zero noise. It has 5.2-inch IPS (1280 x 720 pixels) display, an Octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage with expandable storage and a 2,900mAh battery.
