Dell announced the addition of new data center solutions aimed at building future-ready enterprises and workforce. From PCs and thin clients, to servers, storage and networking products, Dell’s solutions equip businesses with the agility and resilience to keep up with a dynamic marketplace and define the future of the connected workforce.
Local companies are seeking innovative technologies to remain competitive and boost their productivity rates. As Sri Lanka pushes towards building smart cities, companies are encouraged to utilize technologies that create economic opportunities for citizens.
This is made possible with the adoption of technologies that can enable faster business production of products and services. In this light, it is imperative that businesses become future-ready, to ensure the technologies they implement work together for current IT needs, and are flexible to adapt and scale for business growth. These have to be simplified and standardized solutions capable of adapting to change. Dell is supporting the Sri Lankan business environment with its suite of future-ready solutions.
“Mobile, cloud and big data are creating new workloads that require a different approach to IT. Enterprise technology needs to be flexible, adaptable and scalable to fit seamlessly into the IT environment of today and of the future. Dell’s solutions are designed to meet this requirement,” says Mak Chin Wah, general manager for Enterprise Solutions, Dell South Asia. “Businesses today have become more agile in delivering their products and services in a matter of minutes. In the future, the response time may be in seconds.”
In conjunction with the Dell Solutions Forum in Sri Lanka, Dell introduced new additions to its portfolio of commercial products in the country.
“Dell’s solutions are the result of the company’s commitment to a customer-centric strategy. These solutions were designed with the future in mind, while making sure that enterprises remain cost-efficient now and in the future. Based on open standards, our solutions are openly scalable to bring the flexibility and agility required by enterprises, in turn allowing them to capitalize on emerging innovations,” says RoshanNugawela, country manager, Dell Sri Lanka.
As the country moves forward with its smart cities vision, CIOs and IT leaders in Sri Lanka are seeking integrated solutions to support traditional enterprise applications and the latest technology trends to drive their competitive advantage. Dell’s future-ready solutions help local businesses run more efficiently by providing a fast, flexible path to converged, software-defined, and application-optimized IT.
By combining the density and efficiencies of blade servers with the simplicity and cost advantages of rack-based systems, the Dell PowerEdge FX allows customers to better manage, scale and budget for infrastructure to meet the needs of the business now and into the future.
The Dell PowerEdge FX portfolio will include three new modules to offer enterprises even more options for changing application demands. This gives customers even more ability to add or swap IT building blocks into a 2U converged infrastructure chassis.
Dell also announced the expansion of its 13th generation PowerEdge servers including the PowerEdge R930, Dell’s most powerful server specifically designed for the most demanding enterprise applications.
