Business consulting and IT outsourcing company, Virtusa Corporation announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the niche player quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for IT Services for Communications Service Providers, Worldwide.” The report evaluated Virtusa’s leading IT services for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) within the company’s Telecom and Media business unit.
“Our industry is undergoing a significant transformation due to rapid expansion of nontraditional competition as well as customer demand for personalized user experience,” said Srinivasan Jayaraman, senior vice president and global head of Telecoms, Virtusa. “We believe that our inclusion in the 2015 Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Services for Communications Service Providers reaffirms the strong progress Virtusa has made over the past few years in growing our Telecoms practice by delivering significant business value to our clients. We could not have achieved this without the significant focus and investment by Virtusa’s leadership and the dedication and commitment from each and every Virtusan within the Telco practice.”
As the top line revenues continue to decrease for communication service providers with the emergence of over-the-top (OTT) services, the need for a robust infrastructure setup to efficiently accommodate the emerging service trends has grown phenomenally. In addition, peak data traffic volumes put enormous pressure on the infrastructure leading to higher investment in CAPEX and OPEX. Virtusa’s telecom industry experience working with global tier-1 telecom companies equips us with the in-depth knowledge and expertise required to address even the most complex problems in the telecom domain.
“We are delighted to enter the list of companies selected to be represented in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Services for Communications Service Providers, Worldwide. We believe that this recognition is a validation of our demonstrated ability to address business critical issues faced by Telco CXOs through innovative and differentiated solutions that accelerate business outcomes, including improved innovation velocity, enhanced customer experience, greater operating efficiencies and reduced business risks,” said Praveen Purushotham, vice president and global head of marketing, Virtusa.
