Gensoft Logistics ERP won the prestigious Gold Award at the National Best Quality Software Awards 2015 under the E-Logistics & Supply Chain category.

NBQSA, the only national level ICT competition conducted annually in the country is jointly organized by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT – United Kingdom and BCS Sri Lanka Section. The competition that recognizes outstanding achievements in ICT in Sri Lanka is primarily aimed at encouraging the local ICT industry for technology innovations. The software was judged by a well experienced panel of judges based on criteria of uniqueness, market potential, functionalities and features, quality and application of technology and the organization of the presentation.

The Gensoft Logistics ERP is software developed by Gensoft (Pvt) Ltd who is currently the largest software provider to the Freight Forwarding industry in Sri Lanka with an approximate 30 percent market share.

The software enjoys many firsts. It is the first cloud based ERP that is a fully integrated 360° software; the first software that provides guaranteed lifetime updates as well as the first software to provide a very low cost user based pricing structure for the Freight Forwarding industry.

The Gensoft Logistics ERP was the first software that established a direct link with Sri Lanka Customs for submission of CTS (Cargo Targeting System) data. It is also the only logistics software developed in Sri Lanka that has been successfully deployed internationally. The software is the result of almost 10 years of hard work and is a 100 percent Sri Lankan product with almost all of the knowledge used to build the system coming from the Company’s own research and customer interaction. The open source development model enables customers to run the software without any third party license costs. The software is fully compatible with the requirements of both local and international regulatory authorities.

The Company plans to create a complete paradigm shift in the way Logistics companies work not only in Sri Lanka but internationally and is currently developing the Gensoft Network. This Network will directly link all companies within the Gensoft Logistics ERP ecosystem to seamlessly connect and exchange data without the requirement for manual intervention.

By winning the prestigious ‘Gold’ award the Gensoft Logistics ERP qualified for the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) scheduled to be held in November 2015. This year Sri Lanka will host APICTA 2015 where around 650 delegates from 16 member countries namely, Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Nepal will participate.
