A fusion of the best of fashion and technology, Huawei together with Singer Sri Lanka launched its latest flagship, Huawei P8 recently at an experiential event in Colombo.
They have planned a series of go-to-market activities which will give an opportunity for locals to experience the phone.
Introduced in 2012, P1 marked the debut of Huawei ‘P’ series journey while P7 stunned the market with its ultimate craftsmanship. As the successor of P7, the latest addition is designed to have a natural connection to human nature, providing solutions to common pain points and meeting consumers needs both simple and complex.
With the objective of becoming the most user-friendly smartphone for consumers globally, P8 was introduced on a strong potential demand after the success of P6 and P7. It has a notable performance most importantly in its craftsmanship and significantly upgraded camera.
It introduces a new philosophy for camera design that helps users to capture beautiful photographs, even in the worst lightening conditions. Features include: industry-leading optical image stabiliser technology up to 1.2. enabling high-quality photos and videos, and managing camera shake so images are always sharp.
Described as world’s first four-colour RGBW sensor, it boosts brightness by 32 percent in high contacts lightening situations, reduces it by 78 percent in low light environments, it also handles daylight glare and unwanted reflections.
The 6.4mm thin device with dual SIM cards, is available in four colour variants: silver, gold, black and grey. It consists easy-to-use features that fascinates the consumers such as, a revolutionary touch screen and double-tapping a knuckle captures a full-length screen shot, while drawing a circle on the screen quickly captures content.
In addition, the ‘search phone by voice’ function allows users to call out to their misplaced smartphone, which will respond through its speaker to identify.
Also the device contains a 2680mAh battery and with Kirin 930 Octa-Core 64-bit chipset, delivering outstanding performance that outpaces the smartphone market by 20 percent.
The most striking aspect is the attractive price to performance ratio making it the most affordable premium smart phone in Sri Lanka.
Earlier, Henry Liu, Country Head-Huawei Device Sri Lanka announced that the new product will be only available in limited stocks as it will be available in Sri Lanka for a limited period in selected outlets.
Global sales of the Huawei P6 have totaled 5 million units in 60 countries and the Huawei P7 surpassed 4 million sales across more than 100 countries just in 6 months.
Huawei Technologies Co.Ltd. is a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company which is also the largest telecommunications equipment maker in the world which took over Ericsson in 2012.
