Hutch empowers TEDxColombo 2015

h, Sri Lanka’s fastest growing 3G network, has partnered with TEDxColombo for the 2nd consecutive year. This year’s focus was on “Reimagining Spaces” and Hutch Sri Lanka came forward as the official internet partner.

The event was held recently amidst a packed audience of 550 at the Hilton Colombo Residence.

Speaking about the partnership, Thirukumar Nadarasa CEO of Hutchison Telecommunications Lanka (Private) Limited said, “The vision of TEDxColombo and Hutch Sri Lanka is in tandem. The theme this year in particular speaks volumes to what Hutch truly stands for. Reimagining Spaces, for Hutch is  redefining the mobile industry as we transition from 2G voice to 3G/4G data requiring us to break traditional boundaries and resulting in disruptive innovation which can empower whole communities across the country. This is a value Hutch has escalated persistently and which we are proud of, as we gear towards the next generation of broadband based services that will help all  Sri Lankans join the global internet revolution taking place.

TEDx Colombo was live streamed at both NEXT Campus&Coco Veranda at Crescat Boulevardsupporting those who were unable to make the event.
TEDxColombo was formed by a group of young individuals to help spread awareness and allow our leaders and thinkers to have a stage to make a difference and speak out their ideas.
