Hutchison Telecommunications (Hutch) joins the mCash mobile money platform, empowering customers to make their bill payments to Hutch and reload through their own mCash Wallets or through any mCash retailer Island wide.
Speaking of the union, Mobitel’s Chief Executive Officer, Ranjith G. Mobitel launched its Mobile Money service - mCash in November 2013, licensed under the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. mCash allows subscribers to maintain a mobile account and experience a whole new convenient method of carrying out financial transactions. Customers are able to deposit money, withdraw money, send money, reload, pay utility bills, insurance premiums, leasing payments and even pay for goods and services. Since its inception mCash has attracted a large number of customers and has formed business partnerships with several leading establishments to bring in convenience like experienced never before when performing financial transactions.
Payments for Hutch top up and bill payments can also be done via mCash Retailers which form an island wide network.
