The ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) said it was introducing a mobile application called ‘Sri Lanka Museum’ in line with the opening of Magampura Ruhunu Heritage Museum by President Maithripala Sirisena today.
ICTA says a museum viewer could upload this software in his smartphone and while viewing the exhibits, he can listen to detailed information about the exhibits using the software.
The relevant information is available in all three languages.
ICTA also said the Magampura Ruhunu Heritage Museum would be the 95th free WiFi zone under the programme of setting up 1000 free WiFi zones throughout the country.
