Maliban Biscuit Manufactories Limited has partnered with the country’s leading SAP (Systems, Applications & Products) Service provider John Keells Holdings’ Strategic Group Information Technology (SGIT) team to implement SAPs’ latest release.
SAP S4 HANA is the latest release of the SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution which offers an innovation cycle through simplification along with SAP Fiori User Experience (UX), to enhance end-user experience on platforms ranging from mobile phones to desktops.
Speaking at the project kick off event, Ravi Jayawardena CEO Sales and Marketing of Maliban Group said, “The journey that we are starting today, I am pretty confident, will help Maliban and John Keells to conquer the business world in Sri Lanka. That is primarily because everybody will be observing how well we will be performing with the new technology and this will help facilitate the business to grow even further.”
SAP S/4 HANA helps boost productivity and saves time by making it possible to be engaged in work from wherever you are. With this deployment, Maliban will become Sri Lanka’s first company to implement SAP S/4HANA. By moving to SAP S4 HANA, Maliban as an organization would be keeping itself up-to-date with the latest technology aiming at higher growth and improving its organization’s standards.
SGIT, the IT arm of John Keells Holdings PLC, being a SAP Authorized Services Partner and a Gold Licensing Partner in Sri-Lanka has over 10 years of experience in providing SAP solutions and support. SGIT has successfully catered to many leading organizations in the country across multiple industry verticals ranging from Manufacturing, Construction to Hospitality.
Elaborating on Maliban being the first SAP S4 HANA implementation in the country, Krishan Balendra, president of food and beverage-retail of John Keells Holdings said, “We have been living SAP for more than 10 years, so we are not coming in just as consultants, but as a team that has lived and breathed in the SAP environment and learned many lessons that we can share with Maliban.”
The “S” in S4 HANA stands for “Simple”. The idea of “Simple” in business and technology has been at the forefront of innovation for centuries. Businesses have always courted simplicity in the hopes of delivering user-friendly products and solutions as well as optimized business engines for growth and profitability.
