Samsung India Electronics President and CEO visits Sri Lanka

H.C. Hong, President and CEO of Samsung India Electronics Ltd. recently visited Sri Lanka to familiarize himself with Samsung’s operations across the island.

H.C. Hong’s responsibilities include overseeing Samsung’s business in South West Asia, which includes India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

During his visit, H.C. Hong met the Samsung Electronics team in Sri Lanka, as well as several partners and distributors across the island. He also worked with the management of Samsung Electronics in Sri Lanka, to identify and address key areas of growth. During his meetings with the company’s partners, he reiterated Samsung’s commitment to the Sri Lankan market and described it as a high potential, high growth market.

H.C. Hong began his career with Samsung in 1987. Prior to working in India, he served as the President of Samsung Electronics Latin America for three years. Previously, he successfully headed Samsung Electronics’ sales subsidiary in Panama. With over 25-years of experience in delivering operational excellence and ensuring success in emerging markets, H.C. Hong’s focus is now on building Samsung’s brand presence and driving growth in the South West Asian region. Samsung in this region is renowned for its sales, R&D and manufacturing operations, additionally a vast array of its products have gained popularity across the region.
