SLASSCOM AGM and Awards Night today

SLASSCOM will host its third Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, at Cristal Ballroom, Taj Samudra, Colombo. 
The event will be patronised by the Board and General Council of SLASSCOM comprising of thought leaders who have strived for sustainable growth in the IT/BPM industry in Sri Lanka.  

Ten new member company representatives will join the General Council for 2015/16 where the new Chairman of SLASSCOM Mano Sekaram, CEO of 99x Technology and his board will officially begin their tenor. This year, SLASSCOM will recognize the efforts of its membership in driving the ambitious targets the industry has set for 2022: US $ 5 billion in revenue, 200,000 in employment in 1000 new industry start-ups. 

Such efforts ably led by SLASSCOM’s outgoing Chairman Jayantha De Silva, who’s currently the President and CEO of IFS Sri Lanka, have been instrumental in achieving  the industry’s exponential growth in the past year. SLASSCOM is Sri Lanka’s premier IT-BPM and knowledge services industry chamber, active in facilitating trade and business, propagation of education and employment, encouragement of research and innovation and supporting the creation of a progressive national policy framework in the interest of the IT-BPM industry. 

SLASSCOM is backed by a membership of 167 companies in large, medium and small categories as well as innovative start-ups comprising of globally renowned brands and organisations in the technology and business process management (BPM) space.
