We have already dealt with the peculiarities of the Head line, Heart line and the Life Line and their significations in detail and now we propose to dwell on the peculiarities of minor lines  and their significations at length in a series beginning this article on the Line of Mars.  

Readers who have been following the articles on Palmistry on this page from the very outset may remember all details about the Mars line - where it is located and what its significance is etc.

The Line of Mars rises on the Lower Mount of Mars and runs very close to but inside the Line of Life. This line, according to savants of Palmistry, considered a Sister line to the Line of Life, produces the effect of correcting the defects of the Life Line

Should the Line of Life  be marked by defects when the Line of Mars is present, there will be an underlying strength  which will operate  to prevent serious troubles to the subject.  The added strength,  if the line the extends to the full length of the Life Line , will continue throughout the life; but if it exists only  during a portion of the Life line  its influence will be restricted to the period indicated. 

The Line of Mars in itself  is a good indication., but there is a measure of danger of excess, unless other indications to balance it are present.  In a good hand, the presence of the Line of Mars adds power and ability to achieve success though it tends to produce hastiness and excitability.
