A Birthday Celebration

Our famous lady jeweller, Mallika Hemacahndra celebrated her birthday quietly with her family but her daughter Chamindri who works closely with her has produced some pieces of jewellery specially  designed  in her mother’s honour.The picture is of  bicolour agates set in gold, to enhance the beauty of colour. They also have a trendy lightweight collection in rose-gold for the young, and a modern line of diamond bangles  which introduces a new combination of baquette and round diamonds.  As well as being a jeweller who took our jewellery abroad and increased the popularity of quality Sri Lankan jewellery internationally, Mallika paints, designs, sews her own clothes and is an exceptional lady of multifaceted talent. I’m proud to be her friend and she has been incredibly kind to my family too. She never refuses to donate to a charity event at my request.
