Having obtained her bachelors in Economics and Development at the Open University of Colombo and Digital Marketing Diploma from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, Nimesha was keen on doing something innovative for her final university project at the Open University. She created batches of cookies using uncommon ingredients like Jakfruit and Kurakkan and attempted to sell them through a digital platform. “I wanted to sell our rural food in a digital way,” she said.
What started off as a project for University exams turned into a full time business for Nimesha over the years. Having registered her business in 2019 she joined the CAN market having been invited by Keshini in 2020.
