He never indulges in personal slander…

 I was very proud of former PM Ranil when he spoke in Parliament recently. His speech was that of a true statesman with finesse; showing his vast knowledge of the Constitution, Governance and Economic Management.  He  thanked  the Prime Minister, Leader  of the Opposition,  The Speaker and Leaders of all parties. He never indulges in personal slander which he is subjected to often. Even when I have made remarks about some Judas’, he   says ‘don’t waste time worrying or being angry with them.’ In this context I was reminded of a Bible reading from Psalm 62. ‘How long will you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall , a tottering fence. They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood’. Few will turn the other cheek as he does and never stoop to low levels of slander.
