Launch of book on criminal law by Upali Senaratne, PC

Senior legal practitioner Upali Senaratne, President’s Counsel recently presented the new edition of his book titled “A Digest of Selected Cases on Criminal Procedure in Sri Lanka” to members of the higher judiciary at the Supreme Court premises. 

Copies of the book were presented to Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya PC, Supreme Court Justice Yasantha Kodagoda PC and Court of Appeal President Justice Arjuna Obeysekara. 

In his illustrious legal career spanning over four decades, 

Mr. Senaratne PC has appeared in many significant cases especially in the area of criminal law. 

While being a busy legal practitioner, Upali Senaratne PC also held various responsible positions in the public sector. 

This new edition is the fourth print of his digest that will continue to serve as a valuable reference and guidebook to legal practitioners, judges, academics and law students interested in the Criminal Law of Sri Lanka.
