Mongolian Street has done it again! At the beginning of this year, we covered the launch of their new restaurant Thibirigasyaya. Less than 10 months later, here we are again, celebrating the launch of their second outlet! Located on the ground floor of the Zimantra Leisure Centre in Battaramulla. This new and improved Mongoloain Street outlet is easily a top-tier recommendation for food lovers in the area! Maintaining their signature light-coloured interior design and featuring a comfortable seating arrangement for up to 14 people Shevon Perera and his Fiance Ronali Goonetileke the co-owners of Mongolian Street invites you to enjoy your “favourite Mongolian dishes in a chic, yet vibrant ambience.

The next time you get a craving for Mongolian Food or even just for a creamy, chocolate-filled CBP you  can think first of Mongolian Street!

The food as always never fails to hit the spot. A blend of fusion Mongolian flavours, the restaurant truly goes above and beyond to provide consistent quality food to its customers. From their signature, Hot Butter Cuttlefish to the Chefs Signature Chillie beef as well as an array of delicious Chicken, Beef and seafood main dishes Mongolian Street is, without doubt, a leading restaurant not just in Colombo but in the whole country.

The menu more or less remains the same. Their trusty Spicy Beef Noodle is still my top pick. They do feature one new addition which is the Kochchi sausage Mongolian. However, for anyone heading their way for the first time I would definitely recommend the noodle-based dishes. The noodle they use is a special Chinese noodle that’s made of wheat and sweet potato. Paired up with your preferred protein, spices and mouthwatering in-house sauces, I can genuinely recommend any of their noodle-based dishes straight off the bat.

Hot Butter Cuttlefish, Hot Butter Prawns, the chef’s Signature Chillie Beef and the Szechuan Style Beef make up the delicious side dishes at Mongolian Street. Any of these would complement an ice-cold beer on a relaxed evening!

The dessert section has a new addition in the Caramel Pudding. My top pick here would still and even in time to come would be the Chocolate Biscuit Pudding! If you haven’t tried it, order now! It sells out in no time, so make sure to call and pre-order today!

All in all this new Mongolian Street outlet is spacious, has a relaxing ambience and is the perfect place to enjoy a night out with your family and friends. In terms of food, I can safely conclude that the Mongolian Food space is a specific niche in which Mongolian Street is King! So the next time you get a craving for Mongolian Food you can think first of Mongolian Street!
