Song on Bruce Lee with a Sri Lankan touch

A song on former martial arts legend Bruce Lee who changed the art on its head and went on to become famous as an actor, will be out soon. The song written by sports journalist Srian Obeyesekere as a tribute to the former great will be sung by Kalasoori Prabath Salgado while Achitha Rathnayake is the project coordinator.

Obeyesekere says, he was inspired to pen a song on Bruce Lee considering the tremendous impact he has created among generations of people. 

“I felt a song on the martial arts legend was something lacking and that it would be appropriate to thus tribute the legend. It encompasses Bruce Lee’s wondrous works in giving new meaning to the martial arts as well as his intellectual influence as a great philosopher as well which has roundly won
him recognition as the most influential person of the 21st century,” he said.
