The De Lanerolle Brothers from the Hilton Colombo

If there’s one thing the entertainment industry has solely missed during these past few months of Lockdown, it’s definitely a concert by the De Lanerolle Brothers! Ladies and Gentlemen the wait is now officially over! Switch on your television, pick your favourite couch or chair and prepare yourself a fancy home cooked dinner as the De Lanerolle brothers bring their music straight to the comfort of your home! 

Due to Covid concerns the concert will be recorded at the Hilton Colombo and will be streamed live via Dialog TV Channel 1. When asked what the inspiration was to organise a show on a virtual platform Ishan De Lanerolle replied “We wanted to bring joy to the people who were stuck at home for so long. It couldn’t have been easy being cooped up for months on end so we wanted to give everyone a chance to listen and sing along to our music and just have a good time.” 

The dynamic duo of Ishan and Rohan De Lanerolle will be backed by their talented band DLB Squared and will be directed by acclaimed music director Shobi Perera who will also be playing the Acoustic and Electric Bass guitars as well. DLB Squared features an array of talented and well known musicians with Nuwan Galappaththi on Keyboards, Kamal Perera on Lead Guitar, Tilanka Jayamanne on Flute, Lydia Goonetilleke on Violin, Manod Ratnayake on Saxophone, Dilip Seneviratne on Piano, Christopher Prins on percussion, Dennis Alwis on Drums and Neville Davidson on the Rhythm Guitar.

The show will also pay tribute to the late Sri Lankan music legend Sunil Perera and other artistes whose lives were lost due to the Covid 19 pandemic. 

Furthermore the brothers also wish to announce their upcoming pre Christmas concert “Can’t wait for Christmas” which will be held on the 30th of November at the Hilton Colombo for which tickets can be purchased by calling 0777 996 991. 

The De Lanerolle brothers have been performing for the past 12 years and their musical ability and dedication to always doing something wonderful for their fans is what makes our affection for them grow even more!
