Tsunami continues winning streak

Dr. Somaratne Dissanayake’s newest movie direction ‘Tsunami’ continued its winning streak by winning the award for the best director at the recent Moonwhite Films International Film Festival. The film produced by Renuka Balasuriya was also nomited in the best film category in the festival.

Tsunami has also been won several awards in key categories at several other international film festivals in recent months.

Niranjani Shanmugarajah, Darshan Dharmaraj, Himali Sayrurangi, Bimal Jayakody, Menara Weeratunga, Suneth Shanthapriya, Chinthaka Kulatunga, Anuruddhika Padukkage, Ashoka Serasinghe, Giriraj Kaushalya, Sampath Tennekoon and several others play the key roles in the movie.

Vishva Balasuriya has handled the cinematography, Rohana Weerasinghe the music direction, Ajith Ramanayake the editing and Sunil Wijerathne the art direction.
