Domino’s Sri Lanka has become one of the fastest growing restaurant chains in the country by recording a growth of 43 percent YOY along with the Same Store Growth (SSG) of over 20 percent. The highest SSG has also catapulted it to the top position in ASIPAC region of Domino’s network
The exceptional growth over the past year has resulted in Domino’s Sri Lanka winning seven awards at the Rolex Challenge, annual awards by Domino’s international to recognize the outstanding performances of the network members across the globe.
Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd which is the sole franchisee for Dominos in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh has already invested a substantial amount in Sri Lanka and continues to expand its footprints in the country. Domino’s currently employs over 480 people in 25 restaurants across the country. The company also enhanced its product portfolio through the launch of new menu last year to introduce its world famous pizzas and sides customized to suit Sri Lankan palate. Some of the newly introduced pizza products included jerk, pulled, teriyaki and barbeque chicken, prawn and tuna along with innovative sides such as chicken fillers, rice options, new pastas and world famous choco iava.
Speaking on the performance Country Head Suresh Tissaaratchy said, “We have made significant headway in the restaurant business in Sri Lanka during the last two years. All this has been possible due to our consumers who have kept coming back to us. The company is in the process of developing more great products and improving customer touch points which will ensure greater satisfaction to our discerning customers.”

Domino’s had global retail sales of nearly US$10.9 billion in 2016, with more than US$5.3 billion in the U.S. and more than US$5.5 billion internationally. In the fourth quarter of 2016, Domino’s had global retail sales of nearly US $3.6 billion, with over US $1.7 billion in the U.S. and over US $1.8 billion internationally. Its system is comprised of independent franchise owners who accounted for over 97 percent of Domino’s stores as of fourth quarter of 2016. Emphasis on technology innovation with several innovative ordering platforms has helped Domino’s reach an estimated US $5.6 billion in global digital sales in 2016.
