Annual Nawam Perahera of Gangarama Temple held yesterday

The annual Nawam Perahera of Gangarama Temple in Hunupitiya Colombo was held yesterday with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe as chief guests. Prime Minister Rajapaksa placed the sacred casket on the tusker. The procession was studded with traditional drummers, dancers and stilt walkers.
