Daily Mirror once again invites Ranil, Sajith, Namal and Anura for presidential debate

The Daily Mirror once again calls upon the main presidential candidates Ranil Wickremesinghe, Sajith Premadasa, Namal Rajapaksa and Anura Kumara Dissanayake for a live presidential debate, hosted by the Daily Mirror and Lankadeepa.   

This is the second time that Daily Mirror extends its invitation to the candidates for a debate.   

When it first did two months ago, only Anura Kumara Dissanayake accepted the invitation while Wickremesinghe declined and Sajith did not respond.   “This will not be a platform to cut each other’s throat or ridicule anyone but a platform to debate. We hope the candidates accept the challenge,” Daily Mirror Editor in Chief Jamila Husain said.  

As such, the Daily Mirror once again calls upon the candidates for a presidential debate just weeks before the public decides on its next President.
