Give best training to those under your command; CDS to newly promoted Major Generals

Chief of Staff General Shavendra Silva had advised newly promoted Major Generals of the Sri Lanka Army that they should look after all officers and soldiers under their command while giving them the best training and education.  

Nine newly promoted Major Generals after wearing the new insignias paid a courtesy call on, General Shavendra Silva at his office on Monday.  

During the cordial dialogue, the Chief of Defence Staff conveyed his warm congratulations to the visiting senior officers and instructed them on carrying out new responsibilities of the Sri Lanka Army whilst expressing his assurance to assist whenever required.  

Major General S.A.Kulatunge, G.M.N. Perera, W.T.W.G.Ihalage, G.K.I Vithanachchi, H.G.P.M. Kariyawasam, J.P.C.Peiris, H.D.W.K.N.Eriyagama and R. M.M.Ranasinghe who were recently elevated to the prestigious rank of Major General attended.
