One of sextuplets born to a mother in Ragama dies

• The child, who weighed about 400 grams, had lung problems

One of the six babies born to a mother from Ragama died last afternoon, officials at the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital in Colombo said.  

Doctors said that the child, who weighed about 400 grams, had lung problems and died while receiving treatment at the hospital’s Baby Unit.  

It is reported that from the sextuplets born at the Castle Street Hospital in Colombo on Sunday five of them are currently at the Castle Hospital under medical observation, they said.
