Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was sworn in as the Interim President before Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya at a Buddhist temple in Colombo on July 15, 2022. He was sworn in after the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
