Marina sponsors ‘Fun Run’ charity programme

The Fun Run charity programme organized by Hilton Colombo Residence (former JAIC Hilton) for the ninth successful time in the city of Colombo recently was sponsored by Cherubium Lanka.
Cherubium Lanka, which has introduced more than 30 food products to the local and international markets under the ‘Marina’ brand name, extended this sponsorship under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.  ‘Marina’ is a trusted household name in Sri Lanka.
Stating the reason for them to be part of the Fun Run 2014 Head of Sales and Marketing at Marina, Denzil Perera explained that there is a myth among people that coconut oil has Cholesterol. Marina has been educating the market on the goodness of coconut and coconut products to the over last five years.
Addressing the media he further stated that in order for customer to get the benefits of coconut oil and other coconut related products, it should be manufactured in the right way. As the largest edible oil manufacturer in the country Marina has taken the responsibility of marking the right products available in the market giving the maximum health benefits.
