A prime opportunity for export-oriented SMEs

The Department of Business Economics at the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura will host J’PURA EXPO 2023 for the second consecutive year at the university premises on December 14.
According to a press release issued by the organizers of the event seven programmes have been  lined up for the occasion. The event will be held under the theme ‘Navigating Growth: Elevating Export Competitiveness’.
A panel named to judge the proceedings includes Thilaka Jayasundara (Secretary, Ministry of Industries),
Dr. Kingsley Bernard (Chairman, Sri Lanka Export Development Board), Sudattha Silva (Additional Director General of Sri Lanka Customs), Sarath Ganegoda (Executive Director, Hayleys PLC) and  Taniya Abeysundara (President, Sri Lankan United Business Association and Ceylon United Business Alliance). Entrance for the public is free. On the same day, there will be an innovation competition for undergraduates from Sri Lankan state universities. The objective of having the competition is to foster export-oriented innovations. 
Plans are also afoot to launch the J’pura Expo magazine on this day.
