Art exhibition by Kamilka and Dananjaya

Crimson Spaces, and the recent launch of its Art Gallery, is unique in its theme of blending art and interior in its host of services. Located in Horton Place, Colombo 07, the premises house both an art gallery and interior space to support the integration of the two aspects. Their goal is to create spaces that people love by fusing art and interior together and emphasizing on the varying and uniform attributes that each area encompasses.
But it does not stop there, Crimson Spaces also markets itself as a platform for emerging artists and art students providing them with exposure and opportunity through exhibitions and internships. The company is a strong advocate of art and interior and has a lineup of intriguing initiatives planned for the future.

The company celebrated the launch of its new art gallery through ‘The Garden of Eden’, an art exhibit expressing the theme of the many facets of Adam and Eve’s paradise through the eyes of two featured artists, Kamilka and Dananjaya. The exhibition is open for viewing until the 31st of December 2019, at the Crimson Spaces Gallery,32A, Horton Place, Colombo 07 from Monday to Saturday 10am-5pm and on Sundays from 10am-1pm.
Kamilka, in her paintings touches on the moods of the Garden, treating Eden as a life form herself, a rich tapestry on which Adam and Eve find and blossom in love. The canvas on which the darkness that is the evil too co-exist, all of which encapsulated together create Paradise on earth. 
The depictions portray the good; the bad, living side by side entwined.
Dananjaya, through his sculptures brings Adam and Eve to tangible realms. His pieces embody the evil that is Satan, the glory that is God, and the purity and innocence that are the hearts of Adam and Eve. The sculptures awaken the dilemma of emotions that orbit between Evil and Love, that can either carry you to Paradise that is Heaven or the doom that is Hell.
