“Arunella”, 3rd annual publication of Sinhala verse Sunshine on migrant poetry

Dr Nimal Sedera launched a Sinhala poetry compilations of migrant poets, is introducing its third annual publication titled “Arunella” in Brisbane on the 11th of August at the Community Center at Acacia Ridge.

“Arunella” is participated by 11 poets, five of which are migrants to Australia, living in Brisbane including Ayodya Galapathi, Cyril Pallegedara, Damayanthi Rupasingha, Geethani Eakanayke, Dr. Janaka Jayasooriya, Dr. Kumara Dissanayake, Ranjith Yapa, Ranjith Sirilal Wijeratna, Shanthi Kumari Eriyagama and Dr. Nimal Sedera , the editor of the volume. The annual publication commenced in 2022 with the publication of a hundred page volume “Sankalana” and then in 2023 “Makaranda.”

Dr. Nimal Sedera published his first collection of short stories as a student and continues his writing to date. He has over 60 books to his credit on diversified fields.
