A Three-date music tour in Sri Lanka has been organised for French singer Charlie Motto. According to the organisers of the event, the musical shows will be held in Colombo (October 29), Ahangama (November 1) and Kandy (November 3).

As part of the French Cultural Season 2024, the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, together with the network of Alliances Françaises in Sri Lanka and the Maldives have taken steps to present this music tour.
Young French electro pop artiste Motto is set to enthral audiences in Sri Lanka with her signature blend of soaring, melodies and dreamy, danceable beats.

The Colombo show will be held at ‘The Warehouse Colombo’ from 7 pm onwards. The show in Ahangama will be held at Trax Ahangama from 8.30 pm onwards and the show in Kandy will be held at Atelier from 6 pm onwards.
The shows are open to all and entrance is free.

Motto will also hold workshops for the students of Alliances Françaises in Colombo, Matara and Kandy during her tour.

Charlie’s unique sound combines French chanson and modern hyperpop with a touch of classical influence. Her recent debut EP, Citadelle, released in February 2024, has already garnered praise from fans and critics alike, cementing her as one of the most promising new voices on the international electro pop scene.

Originally from the south of France, Motto has gained recognition for her electrifying stage presence and crystalline vocals. A classically trained pianist and singer, she has seamlessly fused her influences from French polyphony, electro pop, and introspective songwriting into a sound that resonates with fans worldwide. Her music is characterized by deep emotion, cinematic soundscapes, and a modern twist on traditional pop.
