B.Nadarajah readily supported the activities of the Brahma Kumaris in Sri Lanka; which teaches Raja Yoga meditation
Mr. B.r Nadarajah was born to very simple parents in the central hills of Sri Lanka and after his basic education moved to Colombo for livelihood. A youngster full of energy and enthusiasm to forge a dynamic future he committed himself to hard work under the most difficult circumstances to launch his first business, Colonial Hardware Stores-situated in the hub of Colombo hardware market about 4 decades ago. His untiring efforts with spiritual inclination drew him to the company of brother Jegathesa, the head of the Brahma Kumaris Raja yoga Centres, Colombo, Sri Lanka in the early 90’s. In a few years he diversified into other branches of hardware such as engineering, electrical, trade and multi trade to fulfil his dream as a very dynamic business entrepreneur and Colonial group of companies was founded. As a child born in a less affluent family, he knew the hardships of the poor and he gave opportunities to many youths from such families to forge a bright future by working under him. Today many of them have become entrepreneurs who are very successful. He also used his wealth to support the poor and have-nots to create a life through sincere effort.
He readily supported the activities of the Brahma Kumaris in Sri Lanka which was beginning to grow gradually and steadily to teach Raja Yoga meditation in different parts of Sri Lanka through its expansion of centres, service places and classes. His commitment drew the attention of many of the seniors of Brahma Kumaris such as Dadi Prakashmaniji, Dadi Jankiji, Didi Nirmala, Meera Bhenji and many others. He had established a very close relationship with all of them as one who dedicates himself to spirituality hence won their respect, regard and good wishes. He respected every person and offered love unconditionally; promoting the principals and ideals of the Brahma Kumaris. He was appointed as board member of the Brahma Kumaris Rajayoga Centres, Sri Lanka due to his great role in the development of the activities of the organisation.
He was lovingly called as brother Nada by the members of the Brahma Kumaris.
He is a unique example of one who has earned both physical and spiritual wealth for his family which comprises his spouse Rajamani, the two daughters Sivamalar, Anoma and the three sons Sathishraja, Gokulraj and Mohanraja. He leaves behind a great wealth in terms of his organisations which are managed very well by his children. The greatest fortune he has given them is the goodwill, appreciation and good wishes of all and specially the Brahma Kumaris and Kumars of Sri Lanka, worldwide and the blessings of the seniors of the Brahma Kumaris.
