‘IF’- Imaginary Friends coming alive

Hollywood fantasy comedy ‘IF’ or “Imaginary Friends” released in Sri Lanka simultaneous to the worldwide release on May 17 is now being screened in theatres.  
Written, produced, and directed by John Krasinski, the film plots around a young girl and her neighbour who find themselves able to see imaginary friends.


A young girl named Bea, who has been going through a troubling experience in her life, unexpectedly gains the ability to see people’s imaginary friends or “IFs” who have been abandoned by the kids they helped. Bea then discovers that her neighbour, Cal, has the same ability. Together they join forces to reunite the IFs with their former kids. 


With an ensemble cast, the film features Cailey Fleming, Ryan Reynolds, Krasinski, Fiona Shaw, Alan Kim, and Liza Colón-Zayas, along with the voices of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr. and Steve Carell. Co-produced by Allyson Seeger, Andrew Form, Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski himself, “IF” is imported by Liberty Cinemas Ltd. 


The film is now being screened at Colombo City Centre, Kandy City Center, Liberty Kollupitiya, Liberty Kiribathgoda, Aqua lite, Maxx lite, Majestic Colombo, Regal Dematagoda, Chaya Cinema, Regal Bandarawela, Regal Gampaha and Regal Katubedda.
