“Odyssey 2” Art Exhibition by ‘The 2020 Group’

An art exhibition titled “Odyssey 2” featuring an impressive array of artwork created by ‘The 2020 Group’ will be on display at the ‘Karaliya’ Art Gallery, Kandy, August 9-11, from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm.

‘The 2020 Group’ is a collective of renowned Sri Lankan artists of wide experience, from different disciplines, practicing distinctive styles. Its members are Janaka Ratnayake, Wasantha Siriwardena, Anura Srinath, Nuwan Thenuwara, Rohan Dassanaieyake, Sunil Katugampola and Gamini Abeykoon, are provided a platform to showcase their artistic creations to the art loving public in Sri Lanka.

The purpose of this exhibition is to shift the spotlight back to representational art with sub-styles realism, impressionism and figurative art, keeping abreast of international best practices to reduce the barriers paving the way for international recognition of Sri Lankan artists.
