Old Anandians to fete top achievers at G.C.E. A/L examination in 2023

The Old Anandians’ 70-75 Group and the Old Anandians’ 2007 Group have organised “Nena Harasara 2023” for the 18th consecutive year to recognise students who excelled in the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination 2023, and honor the tutorial staff whose tireless efforts and dedication contributed to the success.

The ceremony will take place at 7:30 a.m. on October 24 at the Kularatne Hall, Ananda College, under the patronage of Principal  Lal Disanayaka, the Management Committee, and the tutorial staff. As in previous years, the event will feature distinguished Old Anandians who have excelled in their respective fields, providing recognition to the awardees and inspiring current students to reach greater heights.

Ananda College achieved an outstanding milestone by recording the highest percentage of Distinctions in the country, with 180 students earning Distinctions in all three subjects: 70 from the Mathematics Stream, 27 from the Biology Stream, 62 from the Commerce Stream, 9 from the Engineering Technology Stream, and 12 from the Arts Stream. Over the past decade, Ananda College has consistently recorded the highest number of university admissions in the country through the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examinations.
