Software development company Fidenz Technologies is inviting undergraduates and fresh graduates to join its training and development arm, Fidenz Academy, to study and engage in software engineering under the mentorship of senior engineers. Fidenz Technologies, which provides cutting-edge software solutions to businesses across the globe, has extended this invitation as part of a recruitment drive for its upcoming expansion. The training is provided absolutely free – in fact, the selected trainees will be paid an allowance during the two-month training period.
Initially, the trainees receive on-the-job training on developing solutions for real-world problems after which they are employed by Fidenz Technologies to develop software for businesses in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the US, Australia and Singapore.
Fidenz Academy was one of the first software development companies in Sri Lanka to introduce a structured, automated process to train undergraduates. With a well-structured set of tutorials and assignments seasoned over 12 years, the Academy helps trainees build core programming skills and effectively work on commercial projects.
What’s more, the training is provided with no strings attached and no contractual obligations on employment duration. However, many former Fidenz Academy trainees have continued to work at Fidenz Technologies, as they enjoy the job satisfaction and personal growth opportunities provided by the company.
Candidates can kickstart the application process themselves by visiting the Fidenz Academy online portal at www.fidenz.com/academy/ and completing an aptitude test.
This test consists of 100 programming challenges. The first 80 challenges teach the basics of JavaScript based on freeCodeCamp. From there onwards, it tests the candidates’ ability to write algorithms and solve problems.
