It has been exactly one year since my beloved wife, Neseranee, departed from our family of two children - Lakshmi and Easwaran, daughter-in-law Daphne and grand-daughter Raaya, and went to be with the Lord.
Nesaranee enjoyed spending time with her children and her granddaughter, as well as her sister Hazel Ratnasingham and her family. She would also spend a lot of her time speaking to my brothers and sisters and maintained a close relationship with them. I miss you a lot, Neseranee, and I think of you and the joys and sorrows we experienced and shared together. Sometimes, I think of you when I am alone, and have been sobbing.
On and off, I picture in my mind the sacrificial love you demonstrated towards those in need. You also had a special love and care for those at St Luke’s Home, Nawala where we meet for prayers.
Through her generosity and love, Neseranee was able to bring our housemaid, her husband and their son to the Lord, and they continue to worship the Lord every Sunday.
She always ensured that she paid her tithes and offerings to St. Luke’s Church, Borella, regularly. In fact, I also remember when proceeding to Church on Sundays, she would stop by to help those in need.
When teaching students English and Tamil languages, Nesaranee charged only a nominal fee, and she loved teaching them. Most of her students have graduated, and some of them are working overseas.
She was in the Kotte Aglow Chapter for a brief period, was at the Sneha Mithra Club first as a Treasurer, then Secretary and finally as President. She has also functioned as an Auxiliary of the Gideon Ministry, Capital City Camp, Kotte.
I miss your presence, Nesaranee.
May your soul rest in peace and rise in glory.
