US Journalist’s film promotes Srilankan culture

A Journalist from New York, Anna Leonti’s documentary ‘Realm of Paradise’, features Sri Lanka, known for its vacation hotspots. The film is an exploration of authentic Sri Lankan lifestyle, ancient wisdom, Buddhist philosophy, Sinhala language, herbal medicine, wildlife, vibrant culture, and astounding regional cuisine.
This film gives unique access to the concentration of cultures, ruins of ancient civilizations, temples, traditional ceremonies, dancing rituals and a lot more.
The narration of the film reflects a Western perspective while the film’s visual and acoustic features represent authentic Sri Lankan culture.
Filmmaker Ravindu Hanwella together with Anna created this documentary with the intention of bringing positive change to the lives of Sri Lankan people while attracting tourists to the country.
This film is also aimed at attracting potential investors by showing what the country has to offer. The creators are confident that this film promotes Sri Lanka as the ultimate tourist destination and projects a positive image of the country.
Anna studied Entrepreneurship at the Academy of Marketing in Moscow, Russia, and Journalism at Fordham University in New York, USA. She worked at United Nations Headquarters in New York City and globally in journalism, branding, and image consulting.
Hanwella tries to blend modern filmmaking with deep insights in traditional Sri Lankan culture and an extensive hands-on approach in each stage of  the film to capture real life in a truly authentic manner.
 The next episode will showcase and promote local businesses and luxury travel experiences for high-end travelers, and is expected to bring financial benefits to the country.
