‘You were an amazing mother to us’

Our darling Ammi we remember you on your one hundredth birthday and thank God for you, our precious mother.
We thank God for all that you have done for us, for the blessings that you have showered on us leaving us with an unforgettable beautiful memory of a life filled with fun, laughter, love, courage and joy notwithstanding life’s trials and for showing us by example the importance of reaching out and caring for and sharing, whether of family or stranger. The fragrance of your memory lingers and brightens our lives.

We thank you for your abundant love and care of us at all times without any concern whatsoever for your own comfort and well-being, and for being the cornerstone of strength and love to our beloved Thaththi.

You taught us the values of perseverance and the importance of spiritual life. You always encouraged us to have family prayers and would attend church with us to worship God as one family, notwithstanding that your own faith was steeped in the Buddhist philosophy. You were just an amazing example of uniting the family in worship notwithstanding the diversity of faiths. 
We love you dearly Ammi and know that you are here with us in spirit helping us in our daily life. Till we all meet again one day on that beautiful shore.
