2 Maldivians among 6 arrested with 4kgs of heroin

Six suspects including two Maldivians were arrested at Dehiwala on charges of being in possession of four kilos of heroin with a street value of more than Rs.40 million, Police said.  
They said the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) personnel who conducted the raid on Tuesday night also took two cars into custody.   

Police said the two Maldivians aged 27 were residents of Dehiwala and Kalubowila while the other four were between the ages of 25 and 52 and residents of Wellawatta, Maharagama, Nugegoda and Panadura.   

They are to be produced at the Mount Lavinia and Gangodavila Magistrate’s Courts to seek detention orders. The PNB is conducting further investigations.
