400 packets of heroin seized from man in Attidiya

A stock of 400 packets of Heroin was seized in transit and a suspect arrested by Mount Lavinia Motor Patrol Unit during a raid in Kahavita Mawatha at Attidiya.   

Investigations revealed that the 23-year-old suspect a resident of Badowita had distributed heroin in packets in several areas including Boralesgamuwa, Dehiwala, Piliyandala, Kohuwala, Moratuwa and Panadura.   
Under interrogation he had stated that the trade value of the stock was more than Rs.300,000.   

Police said he was carrying a stock of heroin on a motorcycle to Boralesgamuwa when the police carried out the raid and arrested him.   

 OIC Motor Patrol Unit SI Asela Pradeep Seneviratne, SI Shehan, Sergeant 27347 Janaka, PCs 54972 Ranjith and 86040 Basnayake carried out the raid on the instructions of SSP Rohan Premaratne.
