50 individuals with hearing impairments to receive driving licences

A group of 50 individuals with hearing impairments who underwent special training provided by the Department of Motor Traffic will receive driving licences.

Temporary driving licences were issued to them by Ampara District Secretary Chinthka Abeywickrema, pending the issuance of permanent licences. The Department of Motor Traffic provided them with training and took steps to issue driving licences based on the recommendation of Ampara Assistant Commissioner of Motor Traffic.

SSP Ampara District Sanath Bandara and Assistant Commissioner of Motor Traffic Rohan D. De Silva were present on the occasion.
