A/L student nabbed with 120 foreign made fags

An Advanced Level student of a leading school in Matara who had in his possession 120 foreign cigarettes smuggled to the country was arrested by the  Matara Division Crime Investigations Unit opposite a tuition class at Elawella road in Matara.  

Police said they initiated investigations to arrest the individual who smuggled the cigarettes.  

The suspect student was to be produced before Matara Magistrate last afternoon.  

A police team under OIC Crime Investigation Unit SI S.H.Atula carried out the raid on the instructions of SSP Anil Priyantha.
