A’pura gets medical apparatus worth over Rs.2 million

North Central Province (NCP) Governor Maheepala Herath yesterday handed over a stock of medical equipment valued at more than Rs.2 million to Anuradhapura District Health Services Director A. Ariyaratne during a meeting of the presidential task force.  


The governor said the equipment including safety overalls for medical staff had been received as aid from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). However, he said there were no coronavirus patients reported from the Anuradhapura District thus far. 


Chief Secretary H.M.P. Bandara, Senior DIG Nandana Munasinghe and Anuradhapura Government Agent W.A. Wanninayake attended the meeting.
