Body found floating in Polgolla dam

A body of an elderly man was found floating on the side of the Polgolla Dam yesterday, the police said.
The victim has been identified as a 74-year-old male and a father of two. The victim is a resident of Menikhinna in Kandy.  

The victim’s son told the Daily Mirror that his father had last called him at around 11.41am on Saturday. 
Even then the victim had not mentioned anything suspicious.   

The body was taken to the Kandy General Hospital for a postmortem examination whilst the police are conducting investigations.
