CMC suspends normal services till March 31 Essential services to continue

Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) Commissioner Roshini Dissanayake yesterday said that considering the spreading of the COVID-19, the CMC will not conduct normal services provided by the council till March 31.  

In a statement, she said that all the essential services such as the fire brigade unit, health services, municipal veterinary department, solid waste management division, sewage disposal unit, urban industrial centre and traffic design and road safety unit will operate without any change.  

She also said that the COVID-19 prevention programmes and dengue prevention programmes managed by the CMC Health Services will be carried out within Colombo.
