Call 0112677877 for DMT appointments

The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) yesterday announced a new telephone number replacing about 20 numbers introduced last week for the use of motorists to reserve a date and time in advance to get their services at the DMT’s Narahenpita head office.

While announcing the new telephone number new 011 2677877, the DMT said it had introduced several telephone numbers to make appointments before obtaining the services provided by the Narahenpita and Werahera offices of the department, owing to the current situation of the country.

“However, taking into consideration the difficulties faced by the clients when contacting the previously introduced numbers they have been suspended. 

“The new Telephone Number 0112677877 has been introduced with effect from 30.11.2020 in connection with Sri Lanka Mobitel and it is available for all 24 hours for reservation of the services,” the DMT said.

It is notified that the services you have already reserved are valid furthermore and you can obtain the said services as you have reserved. 

This facility has been introduced to provide a more efficient and friendly service, the DMT added.
The DMT came under heavy criticism from motorists as there was no one to respond to calls when telephone numbers introduced last week were dialled by motorists.
