Champika Ranawaka teams up with some SLPP MPs

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Patali Champika Ranawaka who fell out with the party leadership and decided to sit independently in Parliament teamed up with a team of MPs from Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) in meeting with Chinese ambassador Qi Zhenhong to discuss the current situation and to seek for more assistance from China.  Along with him, MPs Anura Priyadharshana Yapa (SLPP), Kumara Welgama (SJB), Priyankara Jayarathna (SLPP), Dr. Sudharshani Fernandopulle (SLFP), Chandima Weerakkody (SLPP) went for the meeting on June 27.   This is only part of a series of meetings they are planning to hold with the envoys of foreign countries. Mr. Ranawaka spearheads his political movement called ‘43rd Brigade’.
