Clash between two protesting factions at Temple Trees, 10 hospitalised

• The clash broke out at 2.45 am yesterday and the Police said some sharp weapons were used for the attack

At least 10 people, including one woman, were hospitalised following a clash between two protesting factions at Temple Trees yesterday morning, police said.  

It was reported that the clash took place due to a dispute over a room at the Temple Trees.  

According to hospital sources, nine men and one woman were admitted for medical treatment. Six were admitted to ward number 72 in the Colombo National Hospital (CNH). Two of them were discharged from the outpatient department (OPD) and another two patients were receiving treatment at the OPD.  

The clash broke out at 2.45 am yesterday and the Police said some sharp weapons were used for the attack.   
Kollupitiya Police are investigating.
